The BarrierGuard Steel Barrier System is a rapidly deployable Steel Safety Barrier for use at work zones or as a permanent installation. The steel barrier system offers attractive operational cost benefits compared to portable concrete barrier since 600' [180 m] of BarrierGuard can be delivered to a job site in one truck load, compared to 100’ [30 m] of portable concrete barrier.

The BarrierGuard System is quick to assemble on site due to its unique "QuickMount" connection system that uses only one bolt. A crew of three can install up to 1000' [300 m] of BarrierGuard in one hour.

The “step” profile of the BarrierGuard System smoothly redirects errant vehicles with very little damage to the vehicle or the barrier. The BarrierGuard System is designed to provide the lowest deflection of any portable steel barrier in the market. Using the T-Top Minimum Deflection System, the deflection of the BarrierGuard when impacted by a 2000 kg pickup truck at 25° / 62.5 mph (100 km/h) is less than 1 inch [25 mm]. The BarrierGuard System has been successfully tested to NCHRP Report 350, Test Level 4, as well as EN1317-4 H2 European criteria, requiring a 14 ton [13,000 kg] bus to impact the barrier at 43 mph [70 km/h] at 20°.
